NORWEGIAN GOLD CAKE 
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/3 c. unsifted flour
5 eggs
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place butter and flour in bowl and mix 5 minutes at low speed. Add eggs, one at a time, blending each egg at low speed. Sift together sugar, baking powder and salt. Add gradually to creamed mixture. Add almond extract and mix 3 minutes. After all sugar mixture has been added, turn into greased and floured 9 inch tube pan. Bake for 1 hour.
