SPANISH BANANA CHIPS 
2 plantains (platanos) green
Vegetable oil
Salt
Bowl of salt water

Peel plantains, cut into 4 pieces and soak in salt water for 1 hour. Remove from water and cut plantains into "chips". Fry under medium heat, turning often. When chips begin to brown, remove from oil and place on a paper towel covered plate, to drain the oil. Sprinkle with salt immediately after removing from heat. Can be eaten hot or at room temperature.
