GRANDMA'S PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. white sugar
1 c. white syrup
1/2 c. water
2 c. nuts
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook syrup, sugar and water to hard ball stage. Add nuts and butter. Cook until golden brown. Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla and stir. Pour on 15" cookie sheet. Let set until cool and hard. Break into pieces; store in air tight container.
