BREAKFAST STRATA | |
1 lb. hot sausage 1 lb. bacon 12 slices bread, cubed 2 1/2 to 3 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated 8 eggs Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 qt. milk 1 tbsp. green onion 1 tbsp. dried parsley Saute sausage and bacon until lightly browned. Drain, dry, and crumble, mixing them together. Butter a 10 x 14 inch casserole dish. Place 1/2 of the bread cubes, 1/2 of the cheese, and all of the sausage mixture in the dish. Cover with remaining bread cubes and cheese. Beat eggs and add a small amount of Worcestershire sauce, the salt, dry mustard, and the milk. Pour over the casserole and refrigerate overnight. Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees. |
