SHRIMP CREOLE | |
1 lb. hot sausage link (sliced) 1 c. chopped green pepper 1 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 can tomato undrained (28 oz.) 2 tbsp. chopped parsley 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dried thyme 1/4 tsp. red pepper 1 pkg. shrimp boil 1 1/2 lbs. shrimp Use directions from shrimp boil package to cook shrimp. Peel. Set aside. Cook sausage until browned. Use a large Dutch oven. Cook over medium heat. Add green pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook vegetables until tender. Add flour and stir until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil (except shrimp). Simmer and cover for 20 minutes. (You may need to add a little water). Add shrimp and heat for 10 minutes. Serve over rice. |
