SWEET - AND - SOUR GREEN BEANS | |
1 (16 oz.) pkg. VIP VUT green beans 4 slices bacon 1 sm. onion, chopped 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp; remove bacon, reserving drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside. Saute onion in bacon drippings until tender. Add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Stir in bacon, beans and vinegar. Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until beans are tender. Serves 6. |
