FRENCH APPLESAUCE CAKE | |
1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix 1 pkg. (4-serving size) vanilla instant pudding 4 eggs 1/2 c. oil 1/3 c. sour cream 1 c. applesauce 1 c. finely chopped raisins 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg Blend all ingredients in large mixer bowl. Beat 4 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer. Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly pressed and pulls away from sides of pan. DO NOT UNDERBAKE. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove and cool on rack. Top with Sugar Glaze or sifted powdered sugar. SUGAR GLAZE: Stir about 1 tablespoon of hot milk into 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar. Drip over top and sides of cake. |
