ICE BOX ROLLS 
2/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
6 1/2 c. flour
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs, beat lightly
2 yeast cakes
1 c. lukewarm water

Pour boiling water over shortening, salt and sugar. Blend and cool to lukewarm. Add eggs and the yeast that has been dissolved in lukewarm water. Add flour, mix thoroughly and beat a few minutes. Cover the bowl and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours. It can be left overnight. Remove from refrigerator and make into rolls or put in greased muffin tins and allow to rise about 2 hours. Bake at 375 to 400 degrees until brown.
