FAYE'S SOFT PRALINES | |
1/8 tsp. salt 1 lb. brown sugar 2 sticks butter 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk 1 c. chopped pecans 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. Karo syrup Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Add sugar and salt; stir thoroughly. Add syrup; stir well. Add milk; stir well and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook to 245°F or to firm ball test. Cook about 12-15 minutes. Add pecans; remove from heat. Pour into well buttered 9-inch pan. Cool and cut into pieces. |
