SNACKTIME GRANOLA | |
5 c. Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked) 2 c. chopped apple 1 c. slivered almonds 3/4 c. butter, melted 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Toast oats in two ungreased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pans in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) 10 to 12 minutes. Combine toasted oats and remaining ingredients; mix well. Place in ungreased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) about 35 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Cool; stir until crumbly. Serve as snack or as cereal with milk or cream. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator. |
