1 yellow Jiffy cake or 1/2 package yellow cake mix. Mix as directed and bake 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Layer will be thin (1/2"). Reduce cooking time to 15 minutes. Cool.
Mix together: 1 large package instant vanilla pudding, 1 (3 oz.) package cream cheese softened, 3 cups cold milk. (Hint: mix cream cheese and 1/2 of the milk together, add pudding mix and gradually add rest of milk.) Prepare two baskets of strawberries, 2 kiwi and 1 banana by thinly slicing into bowl.
Cake should be cool by now. Spread pudding onto cake to cover. Add fruit layer. Cover with large tub of Cool Whip. Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve. Feed 15 easily.
Variations: In winter substitute strawberries with 1 can crushed pineapple, use chocolate cake and canned cherries. Decorate with chocolate shavings. Try spice cake with apple pie filling. Or gingerbread with lemon pudding and lemon pie filling.
