CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus devils food cake mix
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 c. (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

CAKE BASE: Grease and flour 15 x 10 inch jelly roll or 13 x 9 inch pan. Combine cake mix, pie filling, almond extract and eggs. Stir by hand until well-mixed. Pour into pan. Bake 20 to 30 minutes in jelly roll pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in 13 x 9 inch pan.

FOR FROSTING: In small saucepan combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips until smooth. Pour over warm bars. Makes about 3 dozen bars.
