CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus devil's food cake mix
21 oz. can cherry pie fruit filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
5 tbsp. butter
1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate bits

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 10x15 inch jelly roll pan or 9x13 inch pan. In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in jelly roll pan 20-30 minutes, in 9x13 inch pan 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate bits until smooth. Pour over warm cake. Cut into bars. Makes about 3 dozen.
