CHOCOLATE FILLED COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk

FILLING:

1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 can condensed milk
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. evaporated milk

Mix pastry like pie crust. Roll out half and place in a low 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt chocolate chips and condensed milk over low heat. When chips are melted, add nuts and evaporated milk. Spread over bottom crust. Roll out remaining crust and place on top.

Brush with milk, sprinkle with sugar. (I use colored sugar for the holidays.) Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Cut into squares when cool. Makes 24 to 36 squares.
