POTATO TOPPED MEAT LOAF | |
1 (12 oz.) jar mushroom gravy 1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 c. soft bread crumbs 1/4 c. lightly chopped onions 1 slightly beaten egg 1/2 tsp. salt Dash pepper 2 1/2 c. hot mashed potatoes 1 tbsp. melted butter Paprika Measure 1/2 cup of gravy and combine with beef and next 5 ingredients. Form into a loaf. Put into a shallow baking pan and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and drain fat. Spread hot mashed potatoes over top and sides of meat loaf. Drizzle melted butter over top of potatoes, garnish with paprika. Return to oven and bake for 20 minutes. Heat remaining gravy and serve over meat loaf slices. Serves 6. |
