STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. instant rice
1 egg, beaten
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 lg. peppers, cut in half
1/3 c. water

Mix together ground beef, rice, egg, onion, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, ketcup, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Arrange green pepper halves in an 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4 inch baking dish. Fill with meat mixture.

Mix together remaining tomato sauce, water and sugar. Pour over peppers. Cover with tight fitting lid or plastic wrap. Microwave on Medium-High (70) for 20-25 minutes or until meat is no longer pink and pepper is tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Yield: 4-6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
