HELOISE'S BISCUIT MIX | |
8 c. all purpose flour 1/3 c. baking powder 2 tsp. salt 8 tsp. sugar (optional) With pastry blender, cut in one cup shortening to a very fine consistency. Store in airtight containers. This mixture will stay fresh for quite some time in your cupboard or will stay fresh for months if refrigerated. To make biscuits, just add 1/3 cup milk for every cup of biscuit mix. Mix well, roll out on a floured board and cut. Bake in a 425 degree oven until lightly browned. |
