CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE CAKE 
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

BASE:

1 pkg. "pudding in the mix" chocolate or devil's food cake mix
3 eggs
1/3 c. oil
1 c. water

In small bowl, blend filling ingredients; beat at high speed until smooth and creamy. Set aside. In large bowl, blend cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Then beat at high speed 2 minutes. Pour half of cake batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan.

Pour cream cheese mixture over batter, spreading to cover. Pour remaining batter over cream cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Frost. Store in refrigerator.
