OREO ICE CREAM DESSERT 
18 Oreo cookies
1/3 c. butter
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 (5.3 oz.) can milk
1 qt. vanilla ice cream, approx.
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip

Crumble whole Oreo cookies in a bowl. Melt butter and pour over Oreos. Press mixture in an 8"x8" Pyrex dish. (Butter can be poured after Oreos are pressed.) Cover just the bottom of the Pyrex. Immediately put in freezer to chill. Take vanilla ice cream out to soften slightly.

Melt chocolate; add sugar, butter and milk. Cool until thick. Spread vanilla ice cream over Oreos. Top with cooked chocolate mixture. If chocolate is not completely cool, put the dish back in the freezer after spreading ice cream until cool. After chocolate mixture top with Cool Whip. Crumble 2 to 3 Oreos on top. Return to freezer, serve the next day. Must be prepared ahead.
