2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. milk with 1 tsp. baking soda added
4 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients together well. Drop a teaspoon in 1 cup flour and then shape and drop onto ungreased baking pan. Sprinkle top with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
