LIGHT BAKED BEANS 
2 c. pinto beans
Water
1/2 lb. bacon, cut up
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chili sauce or ketchup
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Wash and sort beans. Cover with water and let stand 2 hours. Drain. Combine beans, bacon and 4 cups water. Simmer until beans are tender. Add all other ingredients. Cover and bake at least 4 hours - 350 degrees. Stir occasionally. Add water if necessary. Remove cover for last 30 minutes.
