COCONUT BARS OR TEA BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour

Mix with a pastry blender to crumbly consistency. Press in bottom of baking dish. Bake 10 minutes at 350-375 degrees. 1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 c. shredded coconut 1 c. chopped nuts

Mix eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla. Then mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Sift over coconut and chopped nuts. Add to egg mixture and spread over warm bottom layer. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees; cool and cut into bars.
