MOLASSES DROP COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 c. molasses
4 tsp. baking soda in 1 c. boiling water
4 tsp. ginger
Salt
5 1/2 c. flour

Roll them in small balls with your hands and then sort of flatten one side. Dip top side in sugar before laying in the cookie sheet. Recipe over 75 years old!
