MOLASSES DROP COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water

Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg, molasses, dry ingredients alternately with water. Chill. Drop by spoon. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
