HAMBURGER CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground chuck
3 med. potatoes
1 lg. onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. grated cheese
1 can English peas
Bread crumbs
1/4 lb. butter
Black pepper

Saute meat and drain off grease. Salt and spread in large casserole dish. Slice the potatoes thin and spread over meat. Add sliced onion. Pour one can of water mixed with mushroom soup. Sprinkle black pepper. Cover dish and bake 45 minutes at 400 degrees. Add peas and cook 10 minutes longer. Uncover and add cheese to top. Sprinkle bread crumbs rolled in melted butter. Brown uncovered for about 10 minutes.
