1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.

Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate morsels and pecans.
