CENTURY OLD FRENCH DRESSING 
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. celery salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
2 c. olive oil
1 c. catsup
1 lg. onion, grated
2 cloves garlic
2 1/2 oz. blue cheese

Boil sugar and water 10 minutes. Add lemon juice and boil 5 minutes longer. Cool and stir in vinegar. Add remaining ingredients to cold syrup. Beat until thick. Shake well before serving. Makes 3 pints.
