BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
Combine in small bowl:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt

Beat well and stir in small package (6 oz.) of chocolate chips. Combine in another bowl:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil (vegetable)
1 tbsp. vinegar

Beat well. Fill muffin cups 1/3 full with chocolate batter. Top each one with a heaping teaspoon of cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
