SQUASH PICKLES | |
4 c. sliced squash 2 c. sliced onion 1/2 c. green pepper, cut into rings 1 c. vinegar 1 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. mustard seed 1 tbsp. salt Combine squash and onions. Sprinkle with salt and allow to set 1 hour. Drain well. Combine green peppers, vinegar, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed. Bring to a boil. Add drained squash and onions and return to a boil. Pack into hot jars and cover with vinegar and seal. |
