CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS 
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 (5 oz.) cans evaporated milk
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. chopped nuts

In saucepan combine caramels and 1 can evaporated milk. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until caramel melts. Set aside.

Grease 9x13 pan. In large bowl combine dry cake mix, butter, 1 can evaporated milk, and nuts. Stir until dough holds together. Press 1/2 of the dough into pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Spread caramel over chips. Crumble reserved dough over caramel. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
