BEEF AND LEEKS IN SPICY CHILI SAUCE | |
1 tbsp. chili oil or vegetable oil 1 lb. beef boneless sirloin steak, cut into 1/4-inch strips 2 leeks, thinly sliced (2 cups) 1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts and red peppers 1 tbsp. chili puree with garlic Hot cooked rice or noodles, if desired Heat wok or 12-inch skillet over high heat. Add oil; rotate wok to coat side. Add beef and leeks; stir-fry 2 minutes. Add broccoli mixture; stir-fry about 4 minutes or until beef is brown and vegetables are crisp-tender. Stir in chili puree; cook and stir about 30 seconds or until hot. Serve with rice. Yield: 4 servings. |
