| EASY STRAWBERRY BANANA CAKE | |

This recipe was passed down from my grandmother to my mother and now to me. It's the only cake I've had for my birthdays growing up, and now I make it for my boyfriend for his birthday. It's a really great recipe! 1 box yellow cake mix, baked according to pkg. directions 1 (12 oz.) can strawberry soda 1 (3 oz.) box strawberry jello 1 cup milk 1 (3 oz.) box instant banana pudding 1 small tub Cool Whip sliced strawberries sliced bananas Note: These ingredients do not include the ingredients necessary for the cake, so make sure you look on the cake box. Bake cake mix as directed on box. Cool completely. Heat strawberry soda and strawberry jello until smooth. Mix milk and banana pudding mix. Add Cool Whip. Mix well. Poke holes 3/4 of the way down in the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour soda mixture over the top of the cake. Make sure to get every hole with soda mixture. Cover the top of the cake with sliced strawberries and bananas (however many you want). Spoon Cool Whip mixture over the top and chill for at least an hour. Enjoy! Submitted by: Tianna | |
