HAWAIIAN MARINADE 
1 c. soy sauce
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. ginger

Simmer until sugar melts. If it appears too thin, thicken with cornstarch. Store in covered jar in refrigerator. Great for Bar-B- Ques over chicken, vegetables or rice.
