RIPE TOMATO RELISH | |
8 (med.) ripe tomatoes 1 lb. sugar 1 qt. vinegar 1 tsp. BLAIR lemon flavoring 4 onions 4 sweet peppers 2 tbsp. BLAIR black pepper 2 tbsp. white mustard 2 tbsp. celery seed 2 c. salt Peel and cut tomatoes into small pieces. Mix 2 cups salt with tomatoes. Let drain at least 24 hours through cotton cloth. Mix together other ingredients and blend with tomatoes. Bottle. Will keep without sealing. |
