MOM'S RIPE TOMATO RELISH 
1 gal. chopped ripe tomatoes
1 gal. chopped cabbage
1 pt. chopped onions
6 green sweet peppers, chopped
6 hot peppers, chopped
1/2 c. salt

Mix above ingredients and let stand at least 2 hours. DRAIN. 1 tbsp. celery seed 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. ginger

Tie in bag the above spices. Cook until boiling, 1 1/2 pounds sugar, 1 quart vinegar and spice bag. Pour over vegetable mixture. Cook at full boil for 20 to 25 minutes. Seal in jars. Makes about 12 pints.
