QUICK BUTTERMILK ROLLS 
3/4 c. buttermilk (warm)
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. Crisco (buttered flavor)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 1/2-2 3/4 c. sifted flour

Mix together buttermilk, soda, salt and sugar. Add yeast dissolved in the water. Add soft shortening. Add flour until easy to handle. Let rise in bowl 1 1/2-2 hours. Pinch off and put into greased muffin tin. Makes about 12 rolls. Let rise 30 minutes or more. Bake 15-20 minutes on 400 degrees until brown.
