SWEDISH FRUIT SOUP 
1/2 lb. prunes
1 c. seedless raisins
1 orange slice
1 can red cherries
4 tbsp. tapioca
1/4 lb. dried apricots
3 apples, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
1 c. sugar
1 stick cinnamon

Soak overnight dried fruit, tapioca, sugar, cinnamon, orange and lemon with enough water to cover. In morning, add diced apples and 2 cups of water. Cook until fruit is soft. Add canned fruit last. Cook slowly for 5 minutes.

This soup may be served cold or hot. Put a dollop of whipped cream on top.

If the soup becomes too thick, add more canned cherries. This has been a real hit with my grandchildren!
