APPLE CRISP 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt

Sift together.

Butter the size of an egg

1 egg, beaten
1 tsp.vanilla
10-12 Granny Smith or Jonathans baking apples, peeled and sliced
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cut fruit into small pieces and fill 12 x 8 inch glass baking dish fairly full. Sprinkle 1/3 cup extra sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon over slices. Sprinkle mixture over top, covering apples.

Bake at 350 degrees until brown and fruit is done. Serve warm with Cool Whip or let sit for awhile to get topping soggy.
