Use amount of sweet corn as desired. Clean corn. Place each cleaned ear of corn on a double thickness of aluminum foil or use heavy-duty foil. Spread the ears of corn with softened butter. Sprinkle with seasonings, if desired. Wrap each ear securely using the drugstore fold and seal the ends well.
Roast 20 to 25 minutes on the grill, turning frequently to cook all surfaces. (A shorter cooking time may be obtained by cooking directly on the hot coals.) Turn the foil wrapped corn every minute or 2 and cook for about 10 minutes.
