1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. water
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. food color

Combine flour, salt and cream of tartar and set aside. In a pan mix water, oil and coloring. Gradually combine flour mixture with water mixture until well blended. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until a ball forms. Remove from heat and allow to cool until just warm. Knead until smooth. Keep stored in a plastic, air- tight container.

For fun, add kool-aide to give a scent (1 package) or add glitter to make interesting texture. Kids that are older can make this.
