BOB'S CLAM CHOWDER 
3 slices bacon, diced
2 med. onion, diced
3 med. potatoes, diced
1 bottle clam juice
1 lb. chopped clams and juice or 4 cans chopped clams with juice
Salt and pepper

Saute bacon, add onions, saute until onions are clear. Add potatoes, clam juice and water to cover. Cook until potatoes are done. Add clams with their juice and enough water to make 3 1/2 quarts; salt and pepper. Cook 20 minutes. DO NOT BOIL.
