1 egg
1/4 c. melted butter or Crisco
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. meal
2 c. buttermilk
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Mix the liquid ingredients together, then beat in flour and other dry ingredients. Stir well and drop onto hot greased griddle.
