SUMMER FRUIT CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 sticks butter, melted
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail, drained
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Cherries (optional)

Blend cream cheese, melted butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Gradually add flour and baking powder. Mix well with electric mixer. Add fruit cocktail and blend in chopped nuts.
