MAMA'S LEMON CAKE FILLING 
1 layer cake
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. + 2 tbsp. flour
Dash salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/4 c. boiling water
3 eggs
Juice & rind of 3 lemons

In saucepan combine sugar, flour, salt, butter and boiling water. Cook on low heat, stirring until thick. Beat well eggs and juice and rind of lemons. Add egg mixture slowly into cooked filling, stirring so eggs will not lump. Mix well. Cool and spread on cake layers. Top and sides of 4 layers.
