APPLE CAKE 
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups oil
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups chopped apples
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup coconut

Mix in order given. Place in greased 13 x 9 2 pan. 350°F - 1 hour 15 minutes.

Glaze:

1 1/2 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk

Boil 10 minutes. Add 1 tsp. vanilla. When cake is done, set on racks and start glaze cooking. After about 5 minutes, take a fork and "cut" cake in squares. Pour glaze over cake.
