CASHEW CRUNCH COOKIES 
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. cashew nuts, finely crushed

Sift together flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Cream together butter and gradually add brown sugar and white sugar; cream well. Blend in egg and vanilla; beat well. Add the dry ingredients gradually and mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.

Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 5 dozen.
