GROCK AND KAPUSTA 
1 c. dried peas
1/2 c. mushrooms
1 qt. sauerkraut
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 onion, chopped
1/2 lb. salt pork or bacon, diced
2 tbsp. flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash and soak peas for 3-4 hours or overnight. Cook peas in same water until tender. Wash and chop mushrooms or use canned mushrooms. Drain sauerkraut, reserving 1 cup liquid. Combine pepper, kraut, and mushrooms in enough water to cover and cook 1 hour. Fry onions and pork or bacon until lightly brown. Blend in flour and sauerkraut liquid. Stir until smooth. Mix with kraut and bake covered for 30 minutes.
