RAG DOLL CANDY 
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. dates, chopped fine
1 c. nuts, chopped fine

Combine sugar, milk and butter in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and add dates tes. Boil until mixture forms a soft ball when dribbled into cold water. Add nuts. Let stand until almost cool and beat until thick. Place mixture on a wet dishtowel and roll into a log shape. Place in refrigerator until well chilled then slice.
