BETTY CHAMBERLAIN'S SALTED
PEANUT BARS
 
3 c. flour
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. salted peanuts
12 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. water
1/2 c. white corn syrup

Combine flour, butter, brown sugar and salt. Press into rimmed jelly roll pan. Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Combine butterscotch chips, butter, water and syrup in saucepan and melt. Add peanuts. Spread on crust and bake 8 minutes longer. Loosen from pan while warm.
