RAISIN PIE 
2 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. lemon juice

Cook raisins, sugar, water, salt, and butter together for 5 minutes. Add dissolved cornstarch in 3 tablespoons cold water and add to raisin mixture and cook 5 more minutes, then remove from heat and add lemon juice and pour into pastry shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
